GHC Labs is a full service feed lab WITH LOCATIONS IN FILER, IDAHO AND TEXICO, NEW MEXICO. GHC Labs functions on the philosophy that customers are entitled to rapid and accurate analysis of samples in order to effectively assess the quality of their feed. We believe that using current technologies and developing new analytical procedures allows us the ability to supply timely, meaningful, and pertinent information to the customer about exactly what that particular sample is doing. To assure the highest quality result, GHC Labs is affiliated with Dairy One Forage Laboratory. An international leader in feed and forage analysis. Our data base of analyzed samples are validated and updated continuously by Dairy One. We provide precise, accurate results, typically within 24 hours or less.
With guidance from Dairy One, GHC Labs has invested in top-of-the-line sample preparation and analytical equipment. A Foss/NIR Systems Model 5000 performs the analyses utilizing the Dairy One calibration database. This enables GHC to provide the same level of analytical services and quality as Dairy One. GHC uses Dairy One recommended protocols and procedures to mirror their high standard of service. Overall, this endeavor has allowed GHC to provide their customers accurate analyses by using one of the largest and prestigious NIR databases in the world.
Besides offering NIR services GHC Labs offers other services including Corn Silage Processing Scoring, Particle Size analysis, and pH analysis. GHC Labs at this time does not offer Wet Chemistry Services in house although our affiliate lab, Dairy One, handles all of the Wet Chemistry support services. Dairy One also has specialty Wet Chemistry services like Mycotoxin Screening, Nitrates, Fermentation Analysis, and In Vitro True Digestibility for time periods 24, 30, and 48 hours. The convenience to GHC Labs customers is the ability to drop samples off to the lab and we handle the rest. We prepare the samples, send them to Dairy One, and send the results to the customers when the samples are completed.
